Conker Spirit was founded by Rupert Holloway in the wonderful county of Dorset, home to many local beers but very little in the way of spirits. In walks Dorset Dry Gin from Dorset's first gin distillery! Conker Spirit's Dorset Dry Gin is distilled using British wheat spirit, New Forest spring water and 10 botanicals, including some rather distinctively-Dorset-inspired botanicals - Gorse Flowers, Samphire and Elderberries.
A summer meadow aroma leads among the subtle sweetness of citrus and icing sugar. Bright juniper percolates throughout.
Soft and supple, the palate begins with plenty of classic juniper elements among a berry jam sweetness and an underlay of more icing sugar. There’s a touch of spearmint here too.
There is a little damp, earthy spice and orange oil in the finish.
A wonderful take on dry gin that would shine with a helping of elderflower tonic.
A couple of friends from the West Country recommended this to me. I tried some in a G&T and yes, I loved it. Then I had my usual gin in G&T format and there was no comparison. I won't name the usual, but it's one of the slightly better, well known labels. Still good gin, but not a patch on Conker.
Wonderful tasting gin think best have ever tasted and adore the aroma. Would encourage any gin drinker to try this you wont be disappointed although of course it's down t individual taste.
A real treat and a must for any gin drinkers who have not tried this!

We saw this Gin on Around the World with Manu, in Australia last year. Whilst visiting the UK over christmas we found it in a store in Bournemouth and bought a bottle. WOW!!! It is the best gin we have ever had, so now I am buying some to share with friends back home in Australia.
