A small batch Scottish gin from the Balmenach distillery in Speyside. Caorunn (pronounced ka-roon), made with a combination of traditional and handpicked botanicals including rowan berry, heather, coul blush apple and dandelion.
Floral at first, with notes of heather and citrus blossom. Juniper takes shape as it develops.
Orange oil, rosemary and a subtle sweetness of heather honey.
Drying juniper and leafy herbs. A pinch of peppery rye lingers.

This is a very very smooth gin. Love it straight on the rocks. But for all the aromatics that are listed as being in it, well I don’t know where. Just a pleasant slight sweetness.
Massively overrated, and overpriced. The botanicals are almost absent in the mouth (and only fleetingly present on the nose). This tastes like a mass produced vodka that has been left to sit near some juniper berries. Yet another modern gin, which is all style over substance. I very much enjoy some of the modern styles of gin, but this is not one of them. Save your money and buy a good gin, or alternatively buy some ethanol and a (very) few juniper berries and dilute with 60-70% water to achieve the same result as this apology for gin.
Just received a bottle of Caorunn as a gift. Lovely bottle and flavour to match! Love gin and this will be new fave
Love the apple sweetness in this gin, great with tonic. Will definitely add this to my list of favourite gins
Love it. Especially with fever tree and pink grapefruit
