A small batch Scottish gin from the Balmenach distillery in Speyside. Caorunn (pronounced ka-roon), made with a combination of traditional and handpicked botanicals including rowan berry, heather, coul blush apple and dandelion.
Floral at first, with notes of heather and citrus blossom. Juniper takes shape as it develops.
Orange oil, rosemary and a subtle sweetness of heather honey.
Drying juniper and leafy herbs. A pinch of peppery rye lingers.
tried this exellent gin for the ist time last night with lemon lime and splash of tonic what a fantastic experiance
it gets better as it develops, light and refreshing to start then the flavours start to come through
Hadn't really liked gin much (Gordon's) but then I tried this. It is excellent on its own or with tonic and a slice of apple. We have offered it to friends and it has been a resounding success. Triples all round!
Received a bottle for fathers day! Sipping it now without the recommended red apple, for a traditional slice of lime. Its an intense flavour that lasts and tastes expensive; lots of fruit flavour anyway and not aromatic in a 'pink' way.
Excellent gin, with very distinctive taste. Will certainly buy again.
