A small batch Scottish gin from the Balmenach distillery in Speyside. Caorunn (pronounced ka-roon), made with a combination of traditional and handpicked botanicals including rowan berry, heather, coul blush apple and dandelion.
Floral at first, with notes of heather and citrus blossom. Juniper takes shape as it develops.
Orange oil, rosemary and a subtle sweetness of heather honey.
Drying juniper and leafy herbs. A pinch of peppery rye lingers.

One of the smoothest gins I have tasted with a superb blend of aromatics ensuring that there is no single note that dominates. Definitely one to seek out.
I've never been a great gin lover before but since I've tried Caorunn I'm hooked! It is so refreshing to start with. The taste comes through beautifully. I love the smell too. So aromatic
Great taste full and very smooth gin.
A friend gave me a bottle of Caorunn for my birthday - I had not heard of it (surprising, as I'm a gin fanatic). I was blown away - smooth, beautifully aromatic. The mix of botanicals is inspired. Can't do the apple thing - I'm a purist lime girl, but I have tried it with cucumber and loved it nearly as much. No going back for me now. When will it appear in Sainsbury's?!
Not overly strong on the botanicals to my taste buds but that is not a bad thing. Interesting mix of flavors that are excellent for straight sipping or in a G and T. Took first in a blind gin tasting I attended- (with every person scoring!) even with some hardliners "I only drink ****** and *******". Hard to find but definitely worth the trip. Long finish, not overly dry (pucker) but pleasant as it lingers. Side note: didn't care for the apple but I am more of a purist with my Gin and Tonic
