    Brockmans Intensely Smooth Gin

From Brockmans distillery comes Brockmans Intensely Smooth Gin. Its unique selection of botanicals including Tuscan juniper berries, Bulgarian coriander, blueberries, blackberries and bittersweet Valencian orange peel are steeped in grain spirit. It is then distilled in a 100 year old copper still, with the final gin boasting, as its name may suggest, an intensely smooth profile. The moody and opaque bottle is somewhat alluring...

Try mixing up a Maratini with this delicious recipe below!

    60ml Brockmans Gin

    60ml Pink grapefruit juice

    30ml Maraschino liqueur

    7.5ml Lemon juice

    7.5ml Sugar syrup

Add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice, and give it a good shake. Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Flambé* a strip of pink grapefruit peel over the glass and wipe the peel around the rim. Garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit or peg of citrus peel and enjoy!

*Hold a lit match a few inches above the glass. From a couple of inches away, squeeze the grapefruit peel towards the flame.

    Panda Pop flavoured liqueur

One of the worst ‘gins’ I've ever encountered. (There are a lot of mediocre/plain bad ‘gins out there). Reminiscent of Panda Pops. Garnish with a blueberry? Because that brings out an aspect of the gin or compliments any flavours? No! A blueberry adds nothing unless you crush it into the drink for a cloudy bitty mess. This is a sweet, horrible gimmick and that is it. Label it as a panda pop flavoured liqueur and I’d be fine with that but do not sully the name of gin any longer, there are enough brands doing that these days! #calltimeonfakegin

    Don’t expect the usual gin

As a fan of gins such as Monkey 47, Hendricks and Sipsmith this is very different. I’m not getting the traditional gin tones which isn’t a terrible thing, it’s smooth and fruity with a strong hit of black currant.

Not for the classic gin drinker!

Smooth because it’s not a predominant taste of juniper. Open the lid and smells like Blackcurrent juice. Doesn’t taste that different to blackcurrant juice either. Furious that I paid £30+ for this. Having to mix it with a basic gin just to use it up.

    Super Gin and some

That Gin is the dogs! Beware purists trying to frighten the newbies like myself off trying it. That is fruity, zesty and warm with a blue tinge in the glass. Just tried it for the first time at Rode Hall Cricket club Beer and Gin festival which closes today. Absolutely stunning and I’m after a bottle or two for home soon. Super Gin.

    Why??

What the hell did I just put in my mouth?? And how do you give no stars instead of half a star?
