From Brockmans distillery comes Brockmans Intensely Smooth Gin. Its unique selection of botanicals including Tuscan juniper berries, Bulgarian coriander, blueberries, blackberries and bittersweet Valencian orange peel are steeped in grain spirit. It is then distilled in a 100 year old copper still, with the final gin boasting, as its name may suggest, an intensely smooth profile. The moody and opaque bottle is somewhat alluring...
Try mixing up a Maratini with this delicious recipe below!
60ml Brockmans Gin
60ml Pink grapefruit juice
30ml Maraschino liqueur
7.5ml Lemon juice
7.5ml Sugar syrup
Add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice, and give it a good shake. Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Flambé* a strip of pink grapefruit peel over the glass and wipe the peel around the rim. Garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit or peg of citrus peel and enjoy!
*Hold a lit match a few inches above the glass. From a couple of inches away, squeeze the grapefruit peel towards the flame.
Fruity nose with hints of cooked fruit, strawberry, damson jam, hints of blossom and almond.
Nutty, fruity palate. Blueberries, juniper and soft aniseed notes.
Short, with liquorice root and herbs.
An absoultely beautiful gin.Its unlike any other on the market. It's lovely in tonic with grapefruit, orange or lemon. It is stunning neat too (which is unusual in a gin). This gin has converted several of my non gin friends. A good quality tonic is a must with this - it deserves the best!
Very smooth. Underlying tones are so subtle as to be missed unless someone told you what it was ahead of time. A nice change from the usual suspects, and makes a wonderful martini!
There is plethora of gins on the market now, every distiller and his dog is riding the wave. TRY BROCKMANS, add a slither of grapefruit peel and a couple of blueberries or a slither of orange and two blackberries; absolutely delicious
Smooth. The subtle fruitiness perfectly balanced by a good tonic. Never going back to Hendricks.
It’s ok but try other gins like the Zymurgorium range or grins which are more complex and unique
