    Bristol Dry Gin

Developed by bartenders and service professionals based in (you’ve guessed it) the UK city of Bristol, Bristol Dry Gin could be your new favourite juniper-based tipple. It’s made in a still called Hazel from an array of classic botanicals (including citrus and angelica root) at a micro-distillery under a hotel in the city, and according to the crew behind it, it’s ‘a local gin for everybody’. Give it a go with tonic, or match it with vermouth.

As you may be aware, Bristol Gin has been in the news recently for after posting an advert on social media that referenced a Donald Trump tweet about "shooting and looting". Many people found this offensive. You can read more about the incident, and our response to it, here.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

A classic-style London Dry, bursting with fresh citrus notes and gentle dry spices along with the elegant juniper. Elderflower, coriander, cassia bark, light florals and allspice all come through.

    Rust

    Tastes like rusty batteries.

    Sink unblocker

Given a bottle as a gift. I'm assuming the gift giver hates me as this stuff is repulsive. It gave my sink a good clean when I poured it down the drain though.

    Made me nauseous

This is a terrible gin, despite what the distillers friends and Mums say below.

Good gin; badly judged social media

For those who don't know, Bristol gin made a tasteless joke on twitter about the BLM protest. All the half star reviews here are in response to that. The post was unacceptable, and the company gets what it deserves in that respect. But MoM reviews should be about the drink itself, not the company; and the gin itself is very good. It stands it's own against many far more expensive rivals.

I thought the gin couldn’t be worse than their social media I was wrong!

First heard about this brand after their tasteless attempt of a joke when releasing novichok vodka days after the poison killed a person and rendered someone terminally ill. I then saw their sad attempt at a joke using a Donald trump quote to advertise their gin earlier this month and then saw that they had been using the white supremacist motto “white lives matter” to wind people up on Social media using their hotel bar account. So tonight when a friend of mine said they had a new Gin I should try and that it was theirs I already had reservations. Needless to say nothing could have prepared me for the pitiful excuse they’re trying to pass off as Gin. Very little flavour to talk about and a nasty aftertaste left over from the compounding clearly used to make this product. They should give up on trying to be edgy and funny, whilst educating themselves on race, sexism and being moral human beings and once they’ve done that spend some time working on their product.
