Bombay Sapphire is distilled in England and is made with a base of neutral spirits that are distilled from wheat and malt. The gin is then flavoured with a blend of ten botanical ingredients using a slow infusion process, including juniper berries, coriander seeds, citrus peel, and liquorice root. Bombay Sapphire is perfectly balanced and is bottled at 40% ABV.
The Bombay Sapphire brand was launched in 1987 by Allied Domecq. The gin is a premium product, with a distinctive blue bottle which has helped it to stand out from the crowd. How to make a Bombay Sapphire Gin and Tonic:
Fill a balloon glass to the rim with large cubed ice, pour over 50ml of Bombay Sapphire, squeeze a wedge of fresh lime into the drink and drop into the glass, and top with 100ml of premium tonic water.
Light and piney juniper, with soft peppery warmth building. Subtle sweetness of sugared almond and angelica develops, still packed with herbaceousness.

My favorite for gin and tonics. (American recipe) 1. Most gins are one dimensional and flat, Sapphire offers more than just pine and earth, with a balanced, explosive and sophisticated palate. 2. This is an entry level gin, at about 25$US/750ml it isn't very nice neat, but that's not how most people take gin anyway. For the price, it outperforms and frankly blows away anything else in it's category. It holds it's own over ice but is exquisite as a g&t and complimented by lime in almost any concoction 3. 10/10 for quality and price, flavorful, aromatic, well refined. I'll be honest as honest gets here, I can drink this to excess and suffer little hangover or, sickness as the superior refining process eliminates impurities. That can't be said for the vast majority of labels at this level.

A great crisp refreshing gin- terrific with a high end tonic and lime in a highball glass. Been drinking this one for about 15 years. Great for cocktails too.
