It's the very first limited edition release of Bombay Sapphire - English Estate! The aim of this expression is to capture the essence of the hills and hedgerows that surround the Bombay Sapphire Laverstoke Mill Distillery in Hampshire. The three new botanicals - pennyroyal mint, rosehip and toasted hazelnut - balance the citrus notes of the classic Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin recipe. English summertime in a bottle, wonderful served with fresh mint and a lemon slice.
Smooth, light and vibrant, with bright citrus notes and refreshing mint, with a peppery finish.
$31.36 - $50.03
Im gonna go with a contradictionary term here. Rich but subdued. This is basically a fantastic gin. The bombay sapphire gins are a ltille of everything, But what teyve managed her ( hence the term subdued) is to have a lot of flavors which you can distinctlivly find, without this being a mess. Of their core range i will put this above or equal to the east. Above Star of bombay and maybe just maybe below sapphire east. When it comes to price range this is really good stuff for the money. It costs around 25 usd ill gladly pay 30-35. So is it worth it ill say yes. If you got like really premium gins like harahorn or colombo theire better but also more expensive. So is this the best gin out there, NO, is it the best for the bucks welll i think so.
Sipped some straight/rocks. Very nice, balanced except the hazelnut really comes through - in a nice way. It is significantly different than traditional sapphire and totally different from Bombay East (a favorite of mine) but still feels like Bombay. I made a G&T with Schweppes (I was out of my fancier tonics) mixed 2:1 with a bit of lime on the rim... No wheel or lime squeeze in the glass. It honestly felt like I was lounging in my father-in-law's back yard just outside London instead of balcony in Bangkok. I don't know if this is a one-off for the recipe. I hope not
Fantastic Gin for long drinks on a summer’s evening
It's fantastic it's always been the best gin but it's a bit more expensive than my Gordon's pink, I'd like to think that maybe they will put the price down, then they will sell more of the really fantastic gin they make x
toasted hazel nuts really comes through, i really like it
