All the way from Wadhurst comes Birch Gin, a marvellous expression made with the one-shot distillation method and featuring birch syrup as one of its botanicals - which imparts a subtly sweet yet spicy note to the spirit. Alongside the eponymous birch syrup, this expression features the likes of juniper, orange, lime, grapefruit, rosemary, coriander, lemongrass, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, orris, and a secret ingredient known only to the producers. Mysterious, and also delicious.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Lively juniper up front, leading into softly woody hints of cinnamon and birch sap, developing a soft sweetness later on, blending well with the gamut of citrus, balanced by floral rosemary and spicy ginger.
