Birch Gin
All the way from Wadhurst comes Birch Gin, a marvellous expression made with the one-shot distillation method and featuring birch syrup as one of its botanicals - which imparts a subtly sweet yet spicy note to the spirit. Alongside the eponymous birch syrup, this expression features the likes of juniper, orange, lime, grapefruit, rosemary, coriander, lemongrass, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, orris, and a secret ingredient known only to the producers. Mysterious, and also delicious.
Lively juniper up front, leading into softly woody hints of cinnamon and birch sap, developing a soft sweetness later on, blending well with the gamut of citrus, balanced by floral rosemary and spicy ginger.
Having tried literally hundreds of gins this has to up there as one of the very best. The true test for me is tasting it neat, and this is a rare gin that you can drink neat such is the quality.
My favourite gin, fresh ... too easy to drink!!
This is a top rate gin which has reinvigorated my journey for finding new & exciting gins which refuse to comply with the fad novelty ones on the market. A contemporary gin which is fresh and vibrant, not only with it's eye catching bottle design but the smooth taste.
Although presented well, this gin is nothing special. Extremely similar to several ‘off the shelf’ peers.
Really nice fresh citrus with mellow but subtle woody tobacco undertones. Very refreshing.
