For this sweet, citrusy gin, Kent distiller Anno teamed up with Bee Friendly Trust which helps create habitats for bees and other pollinators. The gin itself is made by infusing orange zest and locally sourced honey alongside ginger and nutmeg, which makes for a warming and tangy tipple. Anno donates a portion of the profit from each bottle to Bee Friendly Trust, so the tasty gin is all for a good cause.
Loads of orange zest straight off, leading into floral honey, oily juniper and orange blossom, with the spices building gradually to a warming finish.
I tried this with Dubonnet (the Queen drinks gin and Dubonnet!) as I thought the orange would compliment the Dubonnet and it really does. Add a twist of orange and ice. Delicious.
an amazing gin that is not like the confected commercial big guns out there. This is amazing as a cocktail with kaluha and ginger ale
This has become mine (and most of my family's) new favourite gin. Open the bottle for an immediate hit of fresh citrus. The taste is just sweet enough while still being a serious gin, with floral hints and subtle spices.
My favourite gin. Expected it to be a bit sickly sweet, but instead it was fresh and zesty. Just a little hint from the honey. Recommend.
