The Shropshire Distillery

Husband and wife team Emma and Gareth Glynn built The Shropshire Distillery, driven by a love of gin and the desire to create a business that would fit in with family life. Back in 2018, the duo set up the ‘Gin Shed’ as its first distillery, located in the family home. The first product, Shire Gin, was launched on 1st July 2018, followed by the Aromatic Spiced Gin in December 2018. Upon returning from a family holiday in July 2019, the Glynn’s were told that both had won two International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) awards. The Shropshire Distillery has gone from strength to strength since, with day-to-day operations taken care of by Emma, the distiller, in a purpose-built distillery and Gin School in Ellesmere, Shropshire that was awarded Distillery of the Year 2022 at the Prestige awards and carries a five-star on Google and Tripadvisor for its experiences.
