Tequila Corralejo

Tequila Corralejo has made its mark in Mexico's tequila production. It comes from Pénjamo, Guanajuato. This region is rich in tequila history and tradition, though less famous than Jalisco. Hacienda Corralejo, its distillery, started in 1775 by Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla. He is known for starting the Mexican War of Independence.

Corralejo stands out for its history and traditional tequila methods. They use 100% blue agave. This ensures the spirit's purity and authenticity. The agave grows in Guanajuato's volcanic soils. This gives the tequila a smooth and rich flavour.

Tequila Corralejo combines tradition and innovation in distillation. They use copper pot stills and column stills. This mix produces tequilas with character and purity.

The distillery offers Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo tequilas. The Blanco is unaged, with clear agave taste and peppery notes. The Reposado ages for four months in American, French, and Encino oak barrels. This gives it a golden colour and complex flavours, like vanilla and spice. The Añejo ages up to 12 months. It has a richer flavour with caramel tones and a smoother finish.

The bottles are tall, slender, and brightly coloured. They reflect Mexico's spirit. The design shows the brand's pride in its heritage and product.
