Olorosum Whisky

Olorosum? Well, the clue is in the name. This has spent a good portion of its ageing time in oloroso sherry casks which impart big flavours of chocolate, spices, mince pies, Christmas spirit etc. What else? Well it comes from Speyside but we are not allowed to say which distillery it comes from. But that just adds to the fun, doesn’t it? Everyone loves a bit of mystery. The ten year old expression was bottled at a nice punchy 54.7% ABV without any added colour or chill-filtration. So if you like a nice sherried Speysider and don’t mind taking a punt on an unknown name, then olorosum would be on your shopping list.
