Alain Loubère's estate is in the heart of the Bas Armagnac region in Labastide. Loubère, once a French Rugby squad member, now focuses on traditional Armagnac production.
Loubère Armagnac's ageing process is unique. It first spends 36 months in new oak barrels, then moves to older barrels. This gives the Armagnac a rich flavour and character. It starts with amber and wood hints, then reveals a complex brandy. It has fruity raisin notes and subtle acacia flower aromas.
The Loubère Napoleon Bas Armagnac is another standout from his estate. It has a strong flavour with almond notes, spicy fruitcake, and caramelised banana.
The Armagnac also has a full bouquet. It's silky and lasts long on the palate. The raisin flavour is strong. Yet, the Armagnac is still lively and fresh.
In artisanal brandy making, Alain Loubère is known for his craftsmanship and tradition. His Armagnac is more than a drink. It's an experience that captures the essence of Gascony.
