Gindica
Gindica Hemp-Infused Gin comes to us all the way from Wiltshire, made with nine botanicals - including the eponymous hemp seed. If you've brushed up on your cannabis species, you'll know that the name was inspired by the genus "cannabis indica", though the gin was made with hemp seed and there is no THC or any active compounds in the spirit, just a delicious earthy flavour profile.
Peppery juniper and herbaceous notes, supported by cardamom spice, bright lemon citrus and a green, grassy note.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this but nothing could have prepared me for how smooth and laid back this gin is. I usually stick to a few tried and tested London Dry’s but glad I went and out on a limb for Gindica, highly recommend!
Smooth.....Very smooth! I first tasted Gindica with trepidation and uncertainty, having never sampled any product derived from hemp before I was unsure about it.....what I discovered was a gin so smooth it left me speechless. The fact that this brand has recently won a gold in the World Gin Awards is no small wander. Whatever they are doing I hope they keep on doing it as they have a customer for life here.
