Clés des Ducs Armagnac

Clés des Ducs is an Armagnac producer in the Gascony region of France. The name means "Keys of the Dukes." This refers to the area's noble history and the spirit's heritage. Armagnac, like Cognac, is one of France's oldest distilled spirits. It dates back to the 15th century.

The house uses traditional methods. This includes column stills for distillation and ageing in French oak barrels. These methods give their Armagnac depth and complexity.

Clés des Ducs Armagnac includes:

- VS (Very Special) or Three-Star: Aged for at least two years, this young Armagnac is fresh and fruity. It's warm on the palate and good for cocktails or on its own.

- VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale): Aged for at least five years, the VSOP is more complex. It balances fruity grape flavours with vanilla and woody notes from the oak.

- XO (Extra Old): This is for the oldest blends, aged 10 years or more. The XO has complex flavours like candied fruits, nuts, and spices. It shows Armagnac's ageing potential.

- Hors d'Âge: This label is for Armagnacs aged longer than XO. They are very smooth with intricate tastes like toffee, chocolate, and mature oak.

Clés des Ducs Armagnac reflects the Gascony region's land. It shows the French art de vivre, or joy of living. Armagnac lovers appreciate its authenticity and tradition. It also invites new drinkers to explore this French brandy's rich heritage.
