Charles Butler

Charles Butler Liqueurs are made with skill and dedication. The process starts by boiling sugar, glucose syrup, and water at high temperatures. This creates a smooth blend. Then, top-quality colours and flavours are added. The experienced staff, trained for years, shape the sweets into unique designs.

Founded in 1848 in Sheffield, Charles Butler has long sold fine confections. While few early items remain, some 19th-century artefacts do. These include old shop photos, advertising from the 1850s to the 1880s, and product lists from the mid-1880s.

Their Chocolate Honeycomb is a best-seller. It combines dark chocolate and sweet honeycomb. You can drink it neat, over ice, or mixed with cream soda. Other options include with crushed ice and cream or coconut water with orange zest.

The Clotted Cream Toffee liqueur is inspired by a popular sweet. It won a Gold Medal at the 2021 Spirits Business Global Luxury Masters. It can be enjoyed neat or mixed, offering a sweet, smooth taste.

The Rambunctious Rum, a spiced rum, has a sweet smell but a smooth taste. It includes toffee, vanilla, and dried fruit flavours. It won a Silver Medal at the Spirit Business Global Luxury Masters Awards. You can buy it on Amazon. It can be drunk neat, over ice, or mixed with cream soda and pineapple juice. It's also great in a dark and stormy cocktail with ginger ale, lime, and mint.
