Burla Negra Rum distillery

Ron Burla Negra is a unique rum influenced by Spanish traditions in the Caribbean. After Christopher Columbus's time, the Spanish started growing sugarcane in the Caribbean. Sugarcane was used for sugar and rum making. While Spain has a few rum makers, Ron Burla Negra from the Canary Islands is internationally successful.

Ron Burla Negra is an exceptional Spanish rum. It aged in unique conditions. After being distilled, it was kept in oak barrels. Seawater from the Caribbean Sea, gathered in the Rias Baixas, was added to the rum. This, along with the climate, gave the spirit its exotic taste. The rum is also aged in barrels that once held Albariño white wine from the coastal wine region.
