Buckingham Palace has launched its own gin, featuring botanicals from its 16-hectare gardens. The London Palace's gardens provide ingredients for the gin. These include lemon verbena, hawthorn berries, and mulberry leaves. With a total of 12 botanicals, the gin represents the garden's diversity, which is home to 30 bird species and 250 wildflower types.
The bottle's design subtly reflects its botanical origins, visually linking it to the palace gardens. The royal household has also introduced Buckingham Palace rum. This broadens its presence in the spirits market. These spirits, both gin and rum, offer unique flavours and stories from the Palace's gardens. They offer a glimpse into the palace’s greenery, connecting each bottle to British royal traditions.
