BrewDog

The BrewDog craft brewery was founded in 2007 in Fraserburgh by James Watt and Martin Dickie, who were tired of the beers in the UK market and decided that rather than wait for one to be released to get excited about, they’ll make some themselves. And they did.

And they have continued to do so, as well as getting stuck into other fun things, like opening craft beer bars in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London (with its arrival announced by driving a tank down Camden High Street) and beyond. BrewDog’s other endeavours include launching Equity for Punks, where they allowed fans of the beer to buy shares of the company online, creating record-breaking beers and then serving said beers in bottles packed in stuffed animals.

In 2012, the BrewDog Brewery moved from Fraserburgh to Ellon, where they continue to make their fantastic beers, including favourites such as Punk IPA, Dead Pony Club and the experimental Abstrakt range. Plans are afoot for BrewDog to expand to the USA, where their beer has proved popular (James and Martin even have a TV show in America too!).
