Barenjager Liqueurs

Bärenjäger, a renowned honey liqueur, has its roots in 18th Century Germany. This unique recipe was originally created to attract bears from their dens for hunters. It was first known as Barenfang, meaning “Bear Trap”, and was as appealing to the bear hunters as it was to the bears themselves.

From Beehive to Bottle

The name Bärenjäger translates to “Bear Hunter” in English. This liqueur, made with natural honey, soon became a favourite among the hunters. Each 750ml bottle of Bärenjäger contains 225g of honey, making it a rich and flavourful drink.

Kosher and Award-Winning

Bärenjäger is not only kosher but also a recipient of numerous accolades. It scored 93 points at the 2016 Ultimate Spirits Challenge and won a Double Gold at the SF World Spirits Competition. These awards underscore its quality and appeal in the spirits world.

Natural Honey and Distinctiveness

Bärenjäger prides itself on having the highest concentration of all-natural honey among liqueurs. At 70 proof, it is the ideal natural sweetener for cocktails that require a hint of sweetness with a subtle kick.

German Heritage

This is a product of Germany, manufactured by Friedrich Schwartze, a company with over 350 years of distilling tradition. This history contributes to the liqueur’s smoothness and all-natural quality, setting it apart from its competitors.

Bärenjäger stands as a symbol of traditional craftsmanship and innovation. Its unique history, combined with its rich, natural honey flavour, makes it a distinguished choice in the world of liqueurs. Whether enjoyed on its own or as a cocktail ingredient, Bärenjäger offers a taste of German heritage and the timeless appeal of honey.
