New Ways to Make Bourbon

Angel's Envy is unique for its "secondary finishing" technique. They age whiskey in charred oak barrels, then move it to other casks. This gives the bourbon a complex taste and sets new standards. These finishes include Port, Rum, Sherry, and Madeira, among others.

The Angel's Share

About 5% of the spirit evaporates each year during ageing. This is the "Angel’s Share." Lincoln Henderson said that Angel’s Envy got a better deal than the angels. This humour and joy make the brand special.

In 2022, Owen Martin became the Master Distiller. He is from Kansas City and now lives in Louisville. He is passionate about maturing, blending, and finishing. His skills help keep Angel’s Envy's quality high. Owen is leading the brand into a bright future.

Our Home in Downtown Louisville

Angel’s Envy opened in 2016 on Louisville’s Whiskey Row. It was the first full-production whiskey distillery in the area since prohibition. The distillery teaches visitors about bourbon through tours, tastings, and classes.

Sustainability: Toast the Trees

Since 2014, Angel's Envy has worked with the Arbor Day Foundation. They have planted over 275,000 trees. This helps make a greener future for the bourbon industry and the community.
