Rémy Martin VSOP is a cognac that has been produced by Rémy Martin since 1724. The name "VSOP" stands for "Very Superior Old Pale". Rémy Martin VSOP is made from a blend of Grande and Petite Champagne cognacs and is aged for a minimum of four years in French oak barrels. Rémy Martin VSOP is characterized by its smooth, mellow flavour and its amber colour.
Rémy Martin VSOP is one of the most popular cognacs on the market and has won numerous awards throughout the years. Rémy Martin VSOP was awarded a Gold Medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London in 2011, and a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2012. Rémy Martin VSOP is also a favourite of celebrities, including Jay-Z, who has mentioned the cognac in several of his songs.
An immensely popular VSOP Cognac from the ever-dependable Rémy Martin. The blend contains 55% Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, the rest being made up of the Petite Champagne. Well-suited as a postprandial tipple, but can also be used in cocktails that need a hearty helping of complex Cognac flavours.

Wonderful cognac, full of fruit notes and floral vanilla hints
Very disappointed. Tried for the first time. I usually drink Otard VSOP and I wanted something different. Will never but this again.
Drank at room temperature, it's just a really nice drink, but upon warming by candle/hand, that's when the varied notes come out to play. Mixed berry is the strongest note and at the forefront of the taste.. blackberries, red currants, raspberry, strawberry. Then the toasted caramelised taste of banana, which lingers in the aftertaste, alongside the citrus notes one experiences when eating honey. I'm new to the world of cognac and have sampled one or two others, but this was decent enough for me to enjoy and not give away. Perhaps there are better, there are definitely worse. Very pleased
Nose: vanilla, leather, apricot, burnt orange, a touch of cedar with a wine note. Taste: spiciness, winey, vanilla, caramel, clove, allspice. Finish: warm, spicey, alcoholic.
This page used to be the clear btl Mature cask but is now the new batch VSOP. This new batch is way better than the Mature Cask but alas pales in comparison to the old batch.. Don't get me wrong it's light fresh & vanilla packed but the spirit still has a young unaged edged to it. Better but not quite what it used to be yet, needs mort time in the wood to soften.
