This is a delicious cognac form Pierre Ferrand, made with spirit from the premier region - the Grande Champagne. This fabulous brandy was awarded a Gold Medal at both the Cognac Masters and the Chicago Beverage Testing Institute.
Floral aromas with hints of vanilla cream. Rose petal jelly and parma violets.
Dried peels and prune juice. Hints of apricot, manuka honey, Danish pastries and apple peel.
Nutty, spiced finish.
Simply not to my taste and surprised at the 4 and 5 star reviews. Nose is off putting, taste is dry, harsh and I struggled to find any of the suggested notes. Far superior brandies available at half the price. I think sometimes there’s a bit of a ‘snob’ value put on cognac purely because of the name which attracts a premium price as a result. This will stay in my cupboard until I find a suitable mixer.
A touch on the spicy side (heavy on the pepper!), but undoubtedly beguiling. The nose and lengthy finish keep me coming back for more!
Excellent cognac nice bit of bite, it is now added to my list to buy again.
Simply delicious. I could waffle on about it but those two words will do.
Delicious cognac.
