Cognac VSOP 4 Year Old (Master of Malt)
Our exclusive Master of Malt collection expands with a superb bottle of VSOP Cognac here, aged for four years in a single refill butt that yielded a total of just 223 bottles when it was opened. In Cognac speak, VSOP stands for 'Very Superior Old Pale', and to carry this terminology on the label, the youngest spirit in the blend must be aged for a minimum of four years. Four letters (VSOP) = four years. There you go, a handy way to remember.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A fruity start with cooked apples in buttery pastry, delicate grapes, and floral, juicy apricots and peaches with a touch of polished oak nestling in the depths.
Palate
Soft stone fruits and caramel shortbread cushion a touch of warming gingerbread before notes of cherry chocolate, dried berries, and chilli.
Finish
Sweet chilli, toffee apple, rooibos tea, buttery caramel, and peppercorns.
