I mean I shouldn’t complain; it quite clearly says hints of violet and jasmine, but it really detracts and distracts me from the palate. Not for me. Right now I’m enjoying drinking Carlos I imperial XO far more.
I HAVE BEEN DRINKING HINE COGNACS EXCLUSIVELY SINCE 1980 WHEN I COULD AFFORD THEIR EARLY LANDED LATE BOTTLED WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY SUPERB. NOW I'M RETIRED I STICK WITH HINE BUT AT A LESS EXPENSIVE LEVEL. IT IS STILL THE BEST COGNAC.

Since my first bottle of Hine Rare,I have tried Courvoisier, Frapin, Hennessy, Maxime Trijol,amongst others. This VSOP is without doubt, the most user friendly cognac I have drank.No hit of alcohol on the first sip,plenty of flavour,enougth oil to hang in your throat momentarily, and NO watery finish.Not over priced.At last I have found my perfect VSOP.Plenty if more expensive VSOPs to choose,but who wants to pay for after burners.
