A classic VSOP cognac, produced with grapes from four crus – Fins Bois, Borderies, Petite Champagne, and Grande Champagne, matured for up to 12 years in a selection of Courvoisier's own proprietary barrels. With layers of balanced oak, stone fruits, coffee, and gentle spice, it's a superbly versatile Cognac for both neat sipping and cocktails.
Whole coffee beans, mint leaves, kumquat, and red grape notes appear at first. Give it a minute and more savoury elements appear, with hints of buttered brown bread and a little whiff of sawdust.
More coffee notes as it opens (this would be a really good partner to espresso after a big meal). Develops touches of brown sugar, waxy apple peels, sweet pea, and a fragrant oakiness.
Ooh, a nice waft of almost smoky cinnamon on the finish. Slowly becomes sweeter with fresh pear and gummy bears.

I enjoyed this drink with some apple juice to make a smooth mixer. There was a slightly different after taste I'm not used to, but I think the apple juice helped to tone it down. I'd share this with my friends in a social setting.
This is a really nice brandy. It is now in my list of top brandies that I will be buying. It is smooth, rich and very flavourful. I enjoyed it on its own and sometimes with one cube of ice.
This is such a unique taste and flavour, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I mixed it with Pepsi and the flavour was distinct without being overpowering. You could definitely taste the notes through the mixer but it was an enjoyable long drink, you didn’t feel that you needed to swig it. The after taste was pleasant and I found I could have drink many glasses and it would still have been enjoyable.
Has a velvety brown in colour, appears slightly lighter in a glass than the bottle. Has an aroma of spices and fruit, quite pleasant on the nose. Being a Cognac drinker I like to sip it neat and hold it in my mouth for a while to enjoy the release of the various flavours and the warming feeling that comes with the spirit. The Courvoisier was quite pleasant, smooth with a rich taste, fruity, nicely balanced although it had a slight rawness to it in its after taste. The presentation of the packaging I am not so sure on. The bottle has changed from the curved bottle which I have grown to associate with a fine Cognac to a more typical bottle that most spirits have. The labelling has also changed in style. I prefer the old packaging and bottle. I would say I enjoyed the experience overall of evaluating the product. But when it comes down to it it's really all about the taste and although it may not replace my current tipple I would recommend it as a close alternative.
Smooth with hints of zesty citrus. I drank this over ice. Lovely sophisticated drink great for an evening by the fire with a good book. The drink is perfect and to my liking. Defiantly recommend this cognac to friends and family. My dad would love this!!
