A floral, pastry rich Champagne, Pol Roger Brut Réserve is blended from 30 wines from different vineyards and vintages. The result is a classic style of Champagne which pairs spectacularly with seafood dishes - the producers recommend wild brown trout if you can get your hands on some (they're rather slippery).
Ripe pear, green apple and spring blossom. Subtle vanilla elements start to sneak in after a moment or two.
Fresh, crumbly biscuits with a drizzle of honey. Stone fruit develops, particularly white peach. Quite fine bubbles, very charming indeed.
