1 Jan 2012

A delightful Champagne from Louis Roederer, in collaboration with designer, Philippe Starck. 2012 was a notoriously difficult year for winemaking, but let to some superb Champagne with perfectly mature grapes, and consequently, this vintage has zero dosage. It's made from 55% pinot noir, 25% meunier, and 20% chardonnay grapes from premier cru vineyards, with 15% of the wine vinified in oak casks. Try this with some decadent seafood, or soft cheeses.
Delicate bubbles, with peaches, melba toast, and a medley of citrus zest. Crisp, mineral notes throughout, with flaked almonds, and a persistent finish.
