This brut Champagne from Louis Roederer is a multi-vintage. Collection is made up in part from a 'perpetual reserve', where wines from the previous year's harvest are added to a large stainless steel vat, similar in concept to an infinity bottle. Alongside the perpetual reserve, oak-aged reserve wines are added to balance the youthful character and bring extra depth. In this way, each blend in the Collection series will be unique. Collection 242 is the first in the series, released to celebrate the 242nd blend released by the Champagne House. It's a rounded, lively Champagne, and pairs brilliantly with lemony pasta dishes.
