For many wine lovers Krug is the king of Champagne. It's classic multi-vintage Grand Cuvee is hard to beat but the vintage releases offer something a bit different. This comes from the excellent 2008 vintage. This particular release is a blend of 53% pinot noir, 25% pinot meunier and 22% chardonnay. It's been in the cellars beneath Krug for nearly 15 years until it was deemed ready for release.
Apricots, orange peel, and candied fruit followed by rich notes of tarte Tatin, and crumbly biscuits.
