Metaxa Angels' Treasure
This edition of Angels' Treasure from Greek brandy maker Metaxa marks the starting point of a journey of exploration for its master blender, pushing his creativity and looking at how different ageing conditions achieve new depths of flavour and complexity. This expression combines a marriage of sweet muscat wine, fine wine distillates, and an elixir extracted from a blend of Mediterranean herbs and botanicals, treated to 'extreme ageing' in heavily toasted oak casks, strategically placed around the Metaxa cellars where the angel's share occurs most. Bottled from a single cask, at natural cask strength, it's brimming with notes of floral honey, juicy raisins, sweet spices, and rich oak.

Woody spices, floral honey and tea join ginger, caramel, and oak char on the nose, leading to a palate packed with sweet spice, juicy raisins, silky honey, and pressed grapes, backed by a warming touch of peppercorns and nutmeg.
