A smashing Spanish brandy from Gonzalez Byass' Soberano range, made with Solera-aged spirits drawn from the 12 brandy cellars owned by the company.
Raisins covered in honey and cacao, with a touch of cinnamon.
Bought this when looking for something to make hot toddies with. While it works excellently for that it’s almost too good for it and we’ll worth drinking straight. Superb value, better than stuff costing 50% more. Works well in a cocktail too, particularly with orange or other citrus
Bought this looking for a cheapish brandy to use for making hot toddies but seems too good for that. Smooth yet spicy. Works very well in cocktails particularly with orange.
It is the only Spanish Brandy that I drink. No other has come up to the quality of this delightful spirit. I hope it will always be available.
I love sherry bomb whisky, but with prices spiralling out of all proportion by distillers riding the wave of malt resurgence and ripping us off because they can, I’ve been looking more and more at alternatives, and came across this brandy almost by accident, It's so packed with flavour and aroma, I recommend anyone inclined in this type of profile to give it a spin for the measly sum of £20. Ok, it’s only 38%, and doesn’t have the finesse of Allardice, but at 5x less cost such great value, and very very palatable - what a find !!, it's my first bottle but won't be my last.
Been enjoying South African brandies but running low so thought I will experiment with other brandies. Love the port/sherry bouquet of this brandy. Easy on the palette and an easy drinker. Very nice on it's own or after dinner. Want to try the Reserva 5 next.
