The Old Fashioned Cocktail
The concept of the ‘Vintage Cocktail’ range is simple – you get all the ingredients for a superb cocktail pre-mixed, all you have to do is pour it over ice, stir, then strain off into your glass and garnish (in this instance with a slice of fresh orange peel). Each bottle carries a stamp showing its year of manufacture.
To serve, simply fill a tumbler with ice, pour in a large measure of The Old Fashioned Cocktail, stir, and add a twist of orange peel (expressed over the glass).
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Seville orange, Cola Cubes and spicy cardamom. A core of rich oak notes develop into toasted vanilla, chocolate mousse and light wafts of Alpine herbs.
Palate
Sweet cinnamon, tart fruit and mouth-coating orange oil. Mocha, Fruit Salad sweeties, five-spice powder and spearmint.
Finish
Long and well balance with flamed orange peel, grippy oak tannins and another cooling layer of mint.
Overall
A deliciously rich, intense Old-Fashioned.
