A bottled Manhattan cocktail from Jefferson's bourbon created in collaboration with the editors of Esquire magazine! It's made with 6 year old Jefferson's Kentucky straight bourbon as well as sweet and dry vermouth (so it's what's known as a 'Perfect' Manhattan) and barrel aged spiced cherry bitters. It's then rested in an oak cask for 90 days. To serve, pour it over ice, stir, then strain into your glass.
Not what you may expect from a Manhattan, especially if you're not familiar with the Perfect Manhattan variant that uses both sweet (red) and dry (white) vermouths. The bitters also play their part. Vinous, vanilla, marzipan, cherries, citrus, cardamom, thyme and oak.

First tried this at a whiskey show in London, loved it! Slightly sweeter and deeper than the average Manhattan you’d get in a bar, and all the better for it - I serve with a cherry. Perfect drink for the dark evenings.
