Peanut butter and jam. Not comically so, this is still a whiskey cocktail, but it's definitely there. The rye in the bourbon complements both, one moment it's nutty rye, the next fruity, with corn adding roundness.
Warming raspberry jam, more rye spice and rich, creamy caramel.
Slightly drying (more nut influence?), then into Elvis' jelly.
We were excited about this, but not sure exactly what to expect. We should have known not to worry.
Was so excited to purchase this... And so very disappointed. A hint of raspberry but zero peanut butter flavour... the very reason I bought it. What a waste of money! Shame I cant send it back or get a refund!
This is the second time I bought this product and I was surprised to notice that it actually improved greatly. I did enjoy it the first time but it is much more full flavoured now. It's a shame they don't ship to US...
Fantastic! I got a bottle as a gift a couple of years ago and I remember enjoying it so a couple of weeks ago I bought one to serve at a dinner party. Didn't last till then- we've drank it on the night we got it. Great balance of flavours, not too sweet, very unusual and delicious. Rich enough to be diluted and remain tasty. It's a great twist on old fashioned - it does not taste like a peanut butter sandwich but I guess that wasn't the point at all. Highly recommended!
Really disappointed with this; doesn't taste of peanut butter or jam. It's just a nasty overly sweet bourbon that's impossible to drink.
An interesting fragranced wax seal initially got me excited about this product, although its rather fiddly to get the cork out (more like wine bottle than a whisky bottle). However as one reviewer has already highlighted once past the teasing nose its nothing more than an entry level bourbon. Not much raspberry and the peanut flavour is non existent. Really disappointed as i've had PB&J old fashioned's before that were way more flavourful.
