Sam Simmons
Sam Simmons first built a following as Dr Whisky during his blogging days. He later became the global ambassador for The Balvenie before joining Master of Malt as head of whisky in 2018.
Simmons is a Keeper of the Quaich and has worked with the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and Douglas Laing. As a writer and educator he has contributed to Whisky Magazine, Wine Enthusiast, and The Wall Street Journal.
Away from the whisky world he leads the musical whisky supergroup Barley, Stills, Mash & Tun. In 2023 he won Blender of the Year at The Spirits Business Awards.
