It’s goodbye from #WhiskySanta

Well, it’s time for #WhiskySanta to disappear for another year after a bumper Christmas. But before he puts his feet up, he has one more thing to say…

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas!

Well, it’s been a funny old year, funny peculiar, that is, but luckily all the strangeness didn’t affect my ability to spread cheer this season. With a little help from my chums at Master of Malt, I’ve given away over £250,000-worth of boozy goodness, and eaten my bodyweight many times over in mince pies. I do love Christmas!

But now, like the boot cut jean, it’s over, and it’s time for me to say goodbye. Before I go, however, I want to take a moment to remember some of those amazing bottles I gave away including the snappily-titled Port Ellen 35 Year Old 1983 (Release No.11535) – The Stories of Wind & Wave (The Character of Islay Whisky Company), a Glenfarclas 1958 Family Cask, Balvenie’s magnificent 40 Year Old, Tamnavulin 48 Year Old 1970, or, all the way from the US of A, Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition. Extraordinary, even if I do say so myself!

Those were just some of the big ‘uns. I also gave away tens of thousands of gifts large and small to lucky Master of Malt customers who placed orders. Some of you even received your orders completely free!

But all good things must come to an end and, to be honest, despite being a supernatural, omniscient being, I need a rest too. It’s not easy dispensing boozy cheer and writing amusing blog posts while keeping my enormous beard immaculately groomed. In January, I’m just going to put my feet up and put some time into that screenplay I’ve been working on: it’s about a supernatural, heavily-bearded being… Stop! I can’t say anymore, as I don’t want anyone to pinch this clearly entirely original movie premise…

Merry Christmas and happy New Year, one and all!

It’s the final Super Wish of the season! Has #WhiskySanta saved the best until last? Fans of spectacularly sherried Scotch single malt will think so…

There aren’t many things that can make an supernatural, omniscient being like myself feel old. But looking at a bottle of whisky from 1958 does make you recall a time when you could buy a cracking bottle of the good stuff and still have change left over to pick up a pack of Junior Mints and catch a late showing of the Attack of the 50 Foot Woman. Much like the start of this year’s gift-giving extravanganza, it feels like yesterday, and yet somehow we’re already in the last week of Christmas and I only have one Super Wish left to grant!

But this festive fellow isn’t feeling sorry for himself, because I have the joy of giving away the most sublime Scotch this week and there’s nothing I love more than treating you lovely lot to the best of the best. And this week’s Super Wish is certainly that. If this whisky had a Blind Date profile (that’s a contemporary reference, right?), it would say that it’s over 50 years young, it loves to slumber in Spanish oak sherry casks and spend time with its family at their distillery in Speyside. Folks, feast your eyes on the wonderful…

Glenfarclas 1958 (cask 2065) Family Cask Autumn 2014 Release!

#WhiskySanta’s Glenfarclas 1958 (cask 2065) Family Cask Autumn 2014 Release Super Wish

What a way to finish another year of amazing Super Wishes. If I do say so myself…

I have a bit of form for making the final Super Wish a spectacular bottle of Glenfarclas and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! This astonishingly exciting expression is a 1958 vintage Glenfarclas, which was aged in a single Sherry hogshead until July 2014 when it was bottled 40.2% ABV. There were only 138 bottles released and it’s worth over six reindeer rubles, or £6,000 in your currency. You simply know that this complex, refined and decadent dram is going to be the best Christmas present you get this year.

Now, for the last time, I’m going to explain how you make a Super Wish. I know everybody is familiar with the process by now, but it prolongs the experience so indulge me. To make your wish, you need to head to the product page and then give that big red ‘Wish’ button a mighty click (I like to say the word ‘click’ out loud when I do it because I’m tremendous fun). A box with options for a pre-populated Twitter or Facebook post will then appear on your screen, which you can publish on the platform of your choice. If Instagram is more your bag, then you also have the option of posting your wish on your feed using the #WhiskySanta hashtag. Just make that hashtag in the post. It’s how the lovely folk at MoM are able to find your wish. Plus, it’s really nice to see your name all over Instagram. It makes me feel like Kylie Jenner or that egg (ah, a simpler time).

#WhiskySanta’s Glenfarclas 1958 (cask 2065) Family Cask Autumn 2014 Release Super Wish

For one last time this year, give that big red button a click

Don’t forget everyone, I may be wrapping up the Super Wishing but I’m still giving away plenty of goodies right up until Christmas Eve! Happy wishing and a very Merry Christmas to you all.

It’s time for the penultimate Super Wish from that bearded dispenser of boozy magic #WhiskySanta. It’s the majestic Dalmore 35 Year Old!

The two questions I get asked the most are: 1) Is Die Hard really a Christmas film?, and 2) What’s your favourite Christmas film? Well, the answer to the first one is a big yes, Die Hard is indeed a Christmas film. So that’s that one cleared up. Now the second one is harder because, whisper it, I don’t really like most overtly-Christmassy films. There’s nothing worse than some second rate Hollywood actor hamming it up with a beard and red suit. I have depth, I have soul, in the words of Walt Whitman, “I contain multitudes”, and frankly there are very few films that do me justice. Instead, I prefer to watch films that are synonymous with Christmas rather than being actually Christmassy like The Great Escape, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and, best of all, Casablanca. That bit where they sing the Marseillaise never fails to bring a tear to my eye. The other thing that makes me well up is the sheer gorgeousness of today’s Super Wish, part of my £250,000 festive bonanza

Dalmore 35 Year Old!

Oohh, I do love a bit of Dalmore. All that dark sherried Highland goodness. But this is one I only get out for very special guests. This Dalmore was created in 2016 to celebrate 50 years in whisky for ‘the Nose’ himself, master distiller Richard Paterson. It was aged in bourbon, Matusalem sherry and colheita Port casks for 35 years before bottling in a super swanky Baccarat crystal decanter bearing a stag produced by Royal Warrant-holding Scottish silversmiths Hamilton & Inches. Only 1,000 were released each year, over the last five years and if you want one, it’ll set you back £4,500.

Or you could wish for one, and you just might get it for free! Here’s how: simply visit the product page, hit the ‘Wish’ button, which will produce a box ready to whisk you off to pre-populated Twitter or Facebook posts. Hit publish and Bob’s your uncle! If Instagram is your platform of choice you can pop a wish on your feed there too, just be sure to use the #WhiskySanta hashtag. This is very important. As the people at MoM are not omniscient beings like me, they work using hashtags.

I wish you the best of luck. Well, that’s all from me until Monday. I hope I’ve cleared up many family arguments by settling the Die Hard Christmas film debate once and for all. See you next week!

Dasher would blush at how quickly #WhiskySanta has been busting his jolly chops to get you all the goodies you desire, but he’s still found time to give away another stunning Scotch for this week’s Super Wish.

While I’ve been working around the clock to put a Santa’s ransom worth of gifts in the hands of those who pleasantly send in their many wonderful wishes, I’ve taken the odd moment to reflect on that truest of sayings, that you don’t know what you’ve got ‘till it’s gone. Which is a lesson I never seem to learn when it comes to mince pies.

It’s also true of whisky. How many times have we seen demand for certain bottles explode after a distillery has closed? But, while there aren’t many things whisky lovers dream of more than tasting the rare remaining spirits available, sadly a small supply equals a big price tag so few get the chance to do so. But not this time. Because this week you’ve got a chance to pick up a bottle of…

Port Ellen 35 Year Old 1983 (Release No.11535) – The Stories of Wind & Wave (The Character of Islay Whisky Company), for absolutely free!

#WhiskySanta’s Port Ellen 35 Year Old 1983 - The Character of Islay Whisky Company Super Wish

This is what Islay whisky lovers see when they close their eyes

This impressive single malt, which has one of the longest product names I’ve ever seen, incidentally, was actually distilled the same year the legendary Port Ellen Distillery closed, back in 1983, and has been matured for 35 years before being bottled by that lovely lot at The Character of Islay Whisky Company. It’s for the Wind & Wave series, which is all about showing off the most delightful whiskies from tIslay and this bottling is indeed a delight.

I’m going to run you through how this Super Wish works again because I don’t want anyone missing out on a whisky this good due to a little misunderstanding (like that time the elves didn’t pick up that bottle of Karuizawa Noh I wanted because they thought I said “Karuizawa? No.” I’ll never forgive them). To make a wish, head to the product page and then click the ‘Wish’ button. It’s not hard to miss, it’s red as Rudolph’s nose. A box with options for a pre-populated Twitter or Facebook post will then appear and all you have to do is publish your wish. For those who love the ‘gram (I understand that’s what the kids call Instagram), you can just pop a post on your feed, but don’t forget to use the #WhiskySanta hashtag so the rascals at MoM can find your wish.

#WhiskySanta’s Port Ellen 35 Year Old 1983 - The Character of Islay Whisky Company Super Wish

Just give it the ol’ click-and-wish.

Now get those wishes in and give yourself the chance to land the best Christmas present around. In the meantime, I’m going to grab myself another couple mince pies fresh from the oven and try to remember to appreciate them this time…  and they’re gone. One day I’ll learn.

It’s time for another one of #WhiskySanta’s patented Super Wishes, and he’s got a cracker for you today. And some seriously fancy whisky.

I was sent a meme the other day that really gave me the giggles. Do you know what a meme is? Of course, you do, you’re all ‘digital natives.’ Well, I don’t use the internet much, no need as I’m omniscient and also have a really loud voice. Anyway, someone showed me a meme featuring David Bowie and Bing Crosby doing their strange duet of Little Drummer Boy with the following words on:

‘David Bowie: “You look a bit down in the dumps, Bing. What’s wrong?”

Bing Crosby: “My inflatable bottom has gone flat.”

Bowie: “Do you want to borrow my rubber bum pump?”

Bing: “Rubber bum pump?”

Bowie: “Rubber bum pump.”‘

Ho ho ho! Anyway, it certainly made me laugh. Right, where was I? Ah yes, another Super Wish as part of my £250,000-worth of delicious gifting for you lucky folks! Well, it’s something rather good, of course. From a Speyside distillery that still has a traditional floor maltings. Can you guess?

It’s The Balvenie 40 Year Old!

Here’s a distillery that needs no introduction for MoM customers. I know that you love the classic 12 Year Old DoubleWood and are partial to a drop of the 14 Year Old Caribbean cask but you probably haven’t tried this Super Wish. It’s an annual release produced from a small selection of ex-bourbon and sherry casks chosen by David Stewart. No, not that chap from the Eurythmics, that’s Dave Stewart. This is master blender David C. Stewart MBE, no less. This particular version is bottled at 48.5% ABV. It normally sells for around £3,400 a bottle but I am giving one away free to one lucky MoM customer. It’s what I do. I am #WhiskySanta.

So how do I get my hands on this elixir of the gods? Well, I’ll tell you. It’s easy peasy: simply visit the product page, hit the ‘Wish’ button, and a box will appear to guide you to a pre-populated Twitter or Facebook post. Hit publish and Robert’s your father’s brother! If Instagram is your platform of choice you can post on your feed there too, just be sure to use the #WhiskySanta hashtag. This is very important. As the people at MoM are not omniscient beings like me, they work using hashtags.

Balvenie Super Wish

Good luck! Maybe you’ll be the one toasting in the New Year with a bottle of Balvenie 40 Year Old. Anyway, must dash, so much stuff to do, like finish putting together my Christmas playlist. You have to have some Slade but maybe I’ll put in some more obscure choices like I was Born on Christmas Day, by Saint Etienne and Tim Burgess from the Charlatans. It’s a banger. Naturally, I’ll include a bit of Bing and Bowie, “rubber bum pump, rubber bum pump.” Now I’ve gone and set myself off with the giggles again.

Hee hee hee! Sorry, ho ho ho! See you on Monday!

It’s the start of another week in December which means that #WhiskySanta is back to banish those Monday blues with another spectacular Super Wish!

Good morning, all. I trust you’ve had a fabulously festive weekend. Personally, I’ve dedicated the odd spare moment I’ve had, in between giving away over £250,000 worth of goodies, celebrating the humble Scotch egg, which is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Mostly by making about a hundred of them with a Nigella recipe, combining the two things I love, great food and comfort TV. Oh, and Nigella. Which is three great things. Speaking of three great things, I’ve had the pleasure of granting three great Super Wishes so far. But I’ve got plenty more up my sleeve. Right next to my emergency supply of Scotch eggs, as it happens.

This week’s chosen expression is an extraordinarily well-aged whisky from the only distillery on the picturesque Hebridean Isle of Mull, which was home to another one of TV’s finest comfort shows and, legend has it, Spanish gold. But what I’m giving away this week is much better than sunken treasure…

It’s Tobermory 42 Year Old!

#WhiskySanta’s Tobermory 42 Year Old Super Wish

Just imagine getting your hands on that. Beats Spanish gold, that’s for sure!

This staggeringly good 42-year-old single malt Scotch whisky actually contains some of the first spirit made when the distillery was reopened in 1972. Since then, Tobermory has proven itself to be one of the impressive and versatile producers around, creating both peated and unpeated whisky (the former is bottled for the Ledaig brand) in a manner that has charmed and delighted whisky geeks for years. You see, the stills that have boil bulbs and an S-shaped kink in their lyne arms to increase reflux. It’s unusual, but effective. Much like myself, really.

For anybody who happens to be new to the whole Super Wish thing (welcome, if so. It’s not usually so Scotch egg heavy), let me walk you through how this all works. Start by visiting the product page and then hit that big red ‘Wish’ button. This will produce a box with options for a pre-populated Twitter or Facebook post, which you need to publish on the platform of your choice. Unless, of course, you favour Instagram, in which you can instead pop a post on your feed using the #WhiskySanta hashtag. Don’t leave out the hashtag. It’s how the lovely folk at MoM are able to find your wish.

#WhiskySanta’s Tobermory 42 Year Old Super Wish

Just one simple click and you’re in it to win it!

Best of luck to all of you entering. Now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to get back to granting wishes before treating myself to a Scotch and a Scotch egg. Don’t knock it until you try it. It will be the hot new food pairing soon, you’ll see. Oh, and I’ll be back again on Thursday to announce a new Super Wish!

It’s Thursday, which means everyone’s favourite bearded present giver #WhiskySanta has another of his amazing Super Wishes!

Brrrrrrrrrr! It’s getting cold now. You think it’s freezing in Britain, well, it’s even colder in my secret HQ somewhere in the icy north. It’s so cold that I’ve taken to wearing a series of novelty items that I have accumulated over the years on my travels. I’m currently wearing reindeer-shaped earmuffs, an I Love New York scarf and some Flashdance-branded aerobics leg warmers – had those a while! None of them has anything to do with today’s Super Wish, the latest part of my £250,000 festive giveaway for you lovely, lucky folk!

The whisky in question is a very rare old single malt from the heart of Speyside, just down the road from Glenlivet on the B9136. Can you guess which one? It’s. . .

Tomintoul and the bottle in question is the 45 Year Old 1973!

Behold!

Tomintoul, not to be confused with Tomatin or even Tormore, is a fairly modern distillery, built in 1964. It styles itself rather grandly as “Speyside Glenlivet”, a reference to the olden days when the region was named after its most famous distillery. This particular beauty was distilled when the Tomintoul was only nine years old. Initially, it was aged in a bourbon barrel before being moved over to an Oloroso sherry hogshead to continue maturing. After 45 years, it was bottled in September 2018. The hep cats at Tomintoul describe the flavours as: “intense waxy aromas merge with hints of orange citrus and Christmas pudding.” Sounds good doesn’t it? And seasonal. Only 240 of these £2,000 bottles were filled (and some of them have been drunk, because that’s what you are meant to do with whisky). £2,000? Now that’s a lot of leg warmers!

Now, you’ve probably got the idea how to do the Super Wish thing but unlike Jeremy Paxman on University Challenge, I’m not going to say in an impatient voice “let’s just get on with it,” because some people might not know how it works. So here goes: simply visit the product page, hit the ‘Wish’ button, which will produce a box with options for a pre-populated Twitter or Facebook post. Hit publish on your platform of choice and voila! You can also wish on Instagram, of course, pop a post on your feed and be sure to use the #WhiskySanta hashtag. This is very important. As the people at MoM are not omniscient beings like m’self, they work using hashtags.

Get your wishes in by the end of the weekend!

Couldn’t be simpler. So good luck and maybe you’ll be the one I grant this Super Wish to. Now, it’s on with those legwarmers, turn up my trusty pink Sony Walkman and it’s time for an ’80s workout #WhiskySanta style. “She’s a maniac, maniac….” Helps work off all those mince pies… Bye for now, but I’ll be back on Monday!

It’s Monday and that means #WhiskySanta has another showstopper of Super Wish to show off.

Ho, ho, ho! I do sincerely hope all of you enjoyed the first week of my return. I’ve already given away a sleigh-load of boozy goodies and revealed my first Super Wish of the season. And I won’t be slowing down anytime soon. So be sure to keep wishing away, because I’ll be making drinks-based dreams come true every single day from now until Christmas Eve!

Today, however, is a particularly special day for me. Firstly, because it’s December Eve. For a festive fellow like myself that’s tremendously exciting. It’s also a Monday, which I understand is a word that sends a shudder down the spine of you adorable mortal folk. But in the wonderful world of #WhiskySanta, it’s quite the opposite. Because it’s the day I spoil you with a new Super Wish! This one’s a doozy…

Feast your eyes on the magnificent Tamnavulin 48 Year Old 1970 – Vintages Collection!

Tamnavulin 48 Year Old 1970 - Vintages Collection Super Wish

You’re lucky I’m so generous, this would make a fine addition to the personal collection…

This corker of a Scotch whisky was distilled way back in 1970 and matured in a combination of bourbon and Apostoles sherry casks for 48 years before being bottled in 2019. Which I understand is a long time for those who aren’t omniscient supernatural entities. Ordinarily, you’d have to part with more than £1,800 to get your hands on this beauty, but thanks to me one marvellously lucky person is going to get it absolutely free.

A gold star to anybody who remembers how all this works, but in case you don’t, let’s run through it again, shall we? First, head on over to the Tamnavulin 48 Year Old 1970 – Vintages Collection page and hit the zazzy red button that says “Wish” on it. Thanks to a kind of techy, Christmassy magic, a box will pop up ready to send you onwards to  a pre-populated Twitter or Facebook post. Just hit publish and you’ve completed your wish! Oh, and if you’re an Instagrammer, which the elves inform is a very trendy term for people who use that platform, pop a post on your feed with the #WhiskySanta hashtag.

Tamnavulin 48 Year Old 1970 - Vintages Collection Super Wish

Click the button and you’re in with a chance of getting your hands on some outstanding booze

We may have waited an awfully long time for the whisky to mature, but we’ll need you to get those wishes in by the end of Wednesday. I’m afraid this season is quite busy for me, as you can imagine. There’s not much time to lose. I’ve got booze to give away, mince pies to taste test and a new chessboard to look at ashamedly while I eat cheese and rewatch The Queen’s Gambit. It’s all go around here.

Yes, it’s the most wonderful time of year: the season of #WhiskySanta’s Super Wishes! This is when Whisky Santa gives away some incredible bottles of whisky, and to kick things off, he’s got something very special indeed.

Ho, ho ho! Are we feeling Christmassy yet? I’ve been getting in the swing of things polishing my boots, brushing my beard and grooming the reindeers. We’re now all looking spick and span, and ready to deliver boozy goodness and that includes some super fancy Super Wishes!

But there’s yet more good news –  I have even more Super Wishes up my sleeve this year than ever before! ‘But pray tell, what is a Super Wish?’, I hear you cry. Hopefully, you already know that you can wish for any delicious treat on the Master of Malt site, and that I’m granting wishes every single day from now until Christmas Eve! For these additional Super Wishes, I’m giving you a sneak-peek of some extra treats I have in my special sack of pressies…

One lucky person who wishes for the incredible bottle below between now and the end of Sunday will find that their Christmas wish comes true!

So, without further ado, my first Super Wish of the season. I have to say I’m pretty pleased with this one. It’s certainly one of my favourites, and I only drink the very best, I am #WhiskySanta, after all. It’s…

… the fabulous Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition!

This is probably the finest and at £1,500 certainly the most expensive whiskey that Woodford Reserve has ever released. It consists of the classic pot still American oak-aged Woodford Reserve matured for an additional three years in XO Cognac casks. Now I’m thinking about the rich toasted oak dusted with chocolate and cacao notes, creamy vanilla bean and hints of clove and cinnamon spice over a deep layer of dried fruit and citrus peel. Doesn’t it sound amazing! And just when you think it couldn’t get any fancier, it comes in a crystal Baccarat decanter. There’s fancy! Much too good to share with the reindeers.

If you want to get your mittens on Kentucky’s fanciest, then I suggest you visit the Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition page. Hit the ‘Wish’ button, which will help send you on your way to a pre-populated Twitter or Facebook post. Hit publish and voila! (If Instagram is your platform of choice you can wish there too, just be sure to use the #WhiskySanta hashtag. Or the hard-working people at MoM won’t see it. And if they don’t see it, then it didn’t happen.)

There’s that button!

What better way to spread even more (much-needed) Christmas cheer this year? That’s the thing that gives me the most satisfaction, after all. Well, that and looking really, really, ridiculously good in red and white. Nobody does it better, and don’t you forget it!

That’s all for now. Until Monday… Now, where did I put my portable reindeer polishing kit?

#WhiskySanta is back! With over £250,000-worth of goodies to give away

It’s time to light the fire, pour a glass of the good stuff and put out some delicious carrots, because #WhiskySanta is back and he’s got more goodies than ever to give away!

Ho ho ho! Yes, it is I! Back for another season of boozy giveaways to keep out the cold and usher in the Christmas festivities. So please do get out that good bottle you’ve been saving and the finest hand-foraged carrots, but don’t light the fire or I won’t be able to get down the bloody chimney. Honestly, who writes these introductions? Don’t they know anything about #WhiskySanta? Hurrumph, hurrumph! Anyway, now that I’ve got that out of my system, let me explain to you why this Christmas is going to be my busiest ever: not only will I be giving away £250,000 worth of goodies to Master of Malt’s lovely customers and beloved followers, but there will be more jaw-dropping Super Wishes than ever before! Right, hand me a mince pie, stick some brandy butter on it, and I’ll explain how it’s all going to work.

1. Gifts with orders!

My good friends at Master of Malt have hooked me up with access to their checkout for yet another fun-packed yuletide, so I can give away tens of thousands of free gifts right up until Christmas Eve! Why would you do your Christmas shopping anywhere else?!

No idea why there’s a “no thanks button.”

It’ll work a bit like this. You’ll be minding your own business getting a bottle of Advocaat for Uncle Derek. He does love a Snowball, does Uncle Derek. And I do too. I drink them all year round. A Snowball isn’t just for Christmas. Anyway, you’ll be minding your business buying something and after you hit ‘Complete Order’ you might be lucky enough to get a little note from me on the Order Confirmation page (like the one above) offering you something extra for free!

You could receive treats such as tasty 30ml drams, 50ml miniatures, Master of Malt Gift Vouchers up to £50 and more – I’ll even occasionally pick up the tab for entire orders! They don’t call me #WhiskySanta for nothing! To accept the gift, click the ‘Yes please!’ button. If for some reason you don’t want to accept the gift (I can’t think why? Haven’t you heard the expression, ‘never look a gift reindeer in the mouth’?), you can click the ‘No thanks’ button, and your gift will go to someone else.

2. #WhiskySanta Wishes!

Another way you can get my attention is to send a wish to me. In the old days, this would have been done by journeying to a magical icy wishing well somewhere in the North and tossing a coin in while making a wish. Now, of course, it’s all done on social media. If you spot a bottle that is your heart’s desire, simply follow the links on the page to share your wish for this treat on Twitter or Facebook using #WhiskySanta, and you may just find your wish comes true… (Please make sure your social profiles and any posts you make are ‘Public’, or even with my omniscience I won’t be able to see them!) That’s right, in fact I’ll be granting wishes on social media every single day from now until Christmas Eve! You can wish on your Instagram feed too, check out our Stories for some inspo. Not quite as picturesque as throwing a coin into a well, but much easier to do from one of those portable telephones that everyone seems so keen on these days. Me? I just shout really loudly when I want someone’s attention. I have a really loud voice: think Brian Blessed crossed with Pavarotti and you’re nearly there. Ho! Ho! HO! See what I mean?

Easier than tossing a coin in a well

3. Super Wishes!

But that’s not all! Just as Vanessa Williams once did, I’ve saved the best ’till last. While all wishes are important, some soar higher than others, up to the heavens. A bit like Superman. Or indeed my Super Sleigh. And so these wishes are called ‘Super Wishes’. Twice a week in the run up to Christmas, I’ll be giving you a heads up to wish for some specific fancy bottles that I’ll give away to one lucky wisher (on top of all the other wishes I’ll be granting). How fancy? Think big. Very-much-not-everyday BIG! Big and very swanky…

LATEST UPDATE: The final Super Wish was for a sensational bottle of Glenfarclas 1958 (cask 2065) Family Cask Autumn 2014 Release – worth £6,000!

So, that is what I’m going to be up to in the next six weeks. Lots to do but first I think another mince pie and, yes, I’ll have a cup of that mulled wine I can smell. I might as well get in the spirit of things before the hard work starts.
