    Fierce Beer Blood of Nidhoggr

A brew for mythology lovers here from Fierce Beer, a sour ale dubbed Blood of Nidhoggr! In Norse mythology, Nidhoggr (or Níðhöggr) is a dragon or serpent who gnaws at a root of the tree that unifies the worlds (Asgard, Midgard and Niflheim, if you were wondering). Brewed with blackcurrants, this beer packs all sorts of juicy, chocolatey flavours.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Tart blackcurrant leads notes of chocolate ganache, coffee and roasted malt.

Where do I start with this? First sip was like WHHHOA that is noice! It has a very distinct blackcurrant flavour, however. none of the sweetness that you would usually expect. I did not notice any of the chocolate flavour, but that would definitely not be necessary here - amazing taste as it is! Best to be enjoyed chilled - when it gets warmer it is still nice, however, the wow effect is definitely gone.
