About Bols
Arturo Vaccari first created his liqueur in 1896 in Chieri, a small town high in the foothills of the Italian Alps, just outside Torino. This area of Italy is famous for its Prosecco, vermouth and aromatic wines and also where so many of the herbs and spices used in Galliano grow.
The current distillers, Maraschi & Quirici, are celebrated for the quality of their extracts and operate in the very same town where Galliano began. To this day, they shape the essence of the unique taste and aroma of Galliano, distilling in two small (less than 100 liters) traditional copper pot stills reserved for the production of this Italian spirit.
