An 8 year old VSOP from Clos Martin. This was distilled from the Baco and Ugni Blanc grapes, which lends the spirit a delicate spiciness and elegant flavour profile.
Rich cooked fruits and Black Forest honey. Notes of raisins, mixed peels and spicy oak. Fresh flowers too.
Honeyed, oily palate with more of those mixed peels, a little candied orange and spice.

I'd find any drink difficult to describe. Best I can say of this is that it is smooth and a good taste. I have drunk many different Armagnacs, but I come back to this as being a good balance of quality and price.
