Plenty of delicious things come from Cornwall, but the Pocketful of Stones folks have added a new thing to that list - absinthe! Morveren Absinthe is made using wormwood grown in Cornwall, alongside a variety of additional botanicals from the local area, and has been bottled at a punchy 66% ABV. The name comes from a legendary mermaid of yore - further strengthening the bond between the Cornish coast and this terrific spirit.
Bright lemon, herbaceous fennel, a touch of caraway and coriander bringing heat to the mix.
Love this stuff. Always have some around. Mixed with a touch of sugar and a splash of ice cold water... Delicious!!
Wow! An excellent Absinthe, smooth, intricate and excellently well presented. Highly Recommended!
Absolutely amazing taste I have tried a lot of absinthe but this is in a class of its own and the packaging is not to be thrown away beautiful design a shot on a cold night by an open fire need I say more
By far the best Absinthe I've tried, really smooth and flavourful. It still has the heat you'd expect, but nowhere as intense as some others. The design of the bottle and tube is fantastic and I really like the Cornish Mermaid story!
