What's in a name? Yamazaki Sherry 2012 whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Japan. Were it from America it would be spelled Yamazaki Sherry 2012 whiskey, rather than whisky.
A classic Sherry cask nose of raisins, sultanas and chocolate with candied orange peel, cinnamon and nutmeg following. The palate is fairly spicy with notes of mixed spice, nuts and cacao leading into a long, dry fruit forward finish.
