Tullibardine
Scotland
Single Malt
A 1993 vintage from the Tullibardine distillery, Highland Spring mineral water is bottled locally, such is the quality of the water.
The nose is rather light and supple. There is a profusion of fruit; mango, pear and apple, notes of apple peels a touch of tarry rope. A caramel washes over matters somewhat. The palate is slightly fuller, yet still soft. There are notes of barley sugar and toasty cereals, notes of toffee and dried herbs, crème anglaise and a touch of cut grass. The finish is of good length with notes of oaked vanilla spice.
This whisky was also specially bottled for the 2nd Division Kohima Commemoration. Very approachable malt whisky characterised, certainly to my taste, by citrus notes essentially of orange and spice with a soft caramel wrap. Short on ‘length’ so not my favoured style but absolutely delicious.
This is a smooth and clean tasting malt that reminds me of turkish delights and passion fruit. When you have an intimate moment with this baby, relax, close your eyes while you savour it and all the flavour range will open up broad. Enjoy!
I simply loved it. I miss this old friend
Has good profile mellow and nice ... Bit lightweight but a nice inoffensive dram. Worth a look.
Light flavour and does not Linger but an interesting drop. Fruity and crisp, very interesting worth a look
