This is a single cask Tomintoul which was distilled in 1972 and aged in a refill sherry hogshead (cask number 1974) before bottling by Gordon and MacPhail at natural cask strength. Delicious.
Hints of tropical fruit and dried banana chips. Butterscotch, hints of manuka honey and allspice. Mint.
Green tea, notes of toffee apples, quince cheese and marzipan. Dried grass, a touch of toasted oak.
Nutty, spicy finish.
