Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
The nose is of medium-body and quite sweet. There are notes of dried peels and sherried sultanas with stemmy hay notes. Cut herbal notes emerge with fruitcake and mixed fruits. There are some calvados notes and a little feinty character develops. The palate is quite full with a good barley sweetness. The sherried notes dance with palpable aplomb, juicy, slightly rubbery sultanas with notes of winter spice and caramelised orange. A touch of Romeo y Julieta tobacco sweetness emerges. The finish is quite long with winter spice and peels.
