The nose is quite fruity with marmalade and barley sweetness. There are notes of dired apricots and winter spice with a herbal note. The palate is quite full with a lovely mouthfeel. Notes of vanilla spice and more of that lovely marmalade with a certain musty character. There are notes of rubbed flowers and winter spice with an increasing oaked note. The finish is of medium-length with plenty of barley sweetness.

I opened a bottle of this and a Glen Ord 30 yr for my wedding. The Tamdhu delicious. I can't recall the notes at this point, but it was very smooth and sweet. My friend is still holding onto a bottle, and I can't wait for the special occasion when we get to taste this again. If you get a chance, don't pass it up.
Smooth yet flavorful. Truly something special.
For the price, this 30 yo whisky is a good deal, full of gentle sweet aromas, like strawberry, dark chocolate, cream, raspberry-syrup, sherry, coffee - really chewy malt!
