The nose is very full and pungent. The notes of sea weed and salinity with hints of smoked almonds and kippers. There are notes of cereal and grains with hints of salty butter and building smoke with refinement. The palate is thick and chewy. There are rich notes of peppery spice and dry oak. Hints of orange peels and crab-apples. There are some notes of flint, splashed by the sea. There is a strong smoky character with chewy peat. There is a well-balanced acidity, cut hay and iodine. The finish is long and very coastal with peels and spiced oak.
